Fort Knox SNG

The iPoker Network, host of sites like Titan Poker and Bet365 Poker, is known for their ongoing promotions. One of those, my personal favorite for many years, are the Jackpot Sit 'n Gos. They come in four different levels, the Dirty Dozen with a buy-in of just $2+$0,40, the Maui with a buy-in as low as $5+$1, the Rio with a buy-in of $20+$3,50 and the Fort Knox with a buy-in of $50+$9.

Let's dig a little deeper to give you a clear view of what I am talking about. Jackpot Sit 'n Gos have an additional prize for winning a given amount in a row. For instance, you will get a bonus of $50.000+ when you win 6 Fort Knox Sit 'n Gos in a row. Honestly, this is a little hard and you will need variance of the cards to be a on your side, but it's definitely doable, in fact it's been done many times before. Also, when you manage to make 6 top 2 finishes you will receive a nice consolation prize of $750.

The reason I personally love these type of tourneys is that you have 3 places paid out of 6, instead of 2 like in regular Sit 'n Gos. As I am a real bubble-boy when playing shorthanded Sit 'n Gos, I now tend to break even many more times because of this pay-out structure. I also made the consolation prize a few times, but unfortunately I never managed to hit the jackpot!

So, as mentioned already, the iPoker Network offers three different type of Jackpot Sit 'n Gos:

Dirty Dozen Jackpot Sit n' Go

  • Buy-in $2+$0,40
  • 12 players, 2 tables SNG
  • Jackpot Win 4 in a row for a $2000 prize
  • Pay-out $12 / $6 / $3,60 / $2,40

Maui Jackpot Sit n' Go

  • Buy-in $5+$1
  • 1 table, 10 handed SNG
  • Jackpot Win 5 in a row for a $15.000 prize (progressive weekly)
  • Consolation prize 5 top finishes pays $200
  • Pay-out $25 / $15 / $10

Rio Jackpot Sit n' Go

  • Buy-in $20+$3,50
  • 1 table, 6 handed SNG
  • Jackpot Win 6 in a row for a $25.000 prize (progressive +$10K weekly)
  • Consolation prize 6 top finishes pays $750
  • Pay-out $60 / $36 / $24

Fort Knox Jackpot Sit n' Go

  • Buy-in $50+$9
  • 1 table, 6 handed SNG
  • Jackpot Win 6 in a row for a $50.000 prize (progressive +$10K weekly)
  • Consolation prize 6 top finishes pays $750
  • Pay-out $150 / $90 / $60

As you can see the jackpot prizes are quite high, but they'll rise $10.000 progressively each week the jackpot doesn't go out. It occasionally happens that the jackpot passes the $100K mark, imagine winning that amount in a day :) Before you start playing, I advice you to read over the terms and conditions at the poker room of your choice. They are not really bad or tricky, but there are a couple of things (like etiquette at the table) to keep in mind while playing, so you won't be surprised later on.
